Svenja and Ben founded Everyday Wines Ltd in 2010. We
started importing wine from France for our own table several years
ago because we like to drink wine, not necessarily every day, but
often. Without the deepest of pockets and with limited time we struggle
to find good affordable wine in the supermarkets or from the big wine
merchants. We have now decided to share our passion for Southern French
wines.
Everyday Wines imports wine from small to medium sized producers in
the Languedoc Roussillon region of France. Keeping overheads low,
and stocking a small range of excellent wines, we can supply wines
for £5, which are far better than those you will find anywhere else
in the UK at that price level.
We have focussed on the Languedoc Roussillon area of France for several
reasons. Not only does the warm, sunny climate produces grapes with
lots of flavour but the area is also stuffed full of wine producers
all competing to produce the very best wines they can. The lack of
"big name" wines helps keeps the prices low compared to the wines
from Bordeaux or Burgundy for example.
Orders can be placed at our online store. Our business currently focuses
on customers in Southeast London (SE3, SE10, SE7) where we deliver
free of charge. However, we can also arrange to ship to other parts
of the UK on request. |
